Protecting children from poverty helps end violence against children

This report explores how child poverty leads to children experiencing different forms of violence against children, and the suggested recommendations for different stakeholders. The report looks at the different dimensions of child poverty: How it’s not just about lack of money and resources, but also about lacking opportunities, feeling excluded, losing hope, and being unable to dream or envision a better future. When poverty and inequality grow, violence against children also grows.

That’s why ending child poverty requires more and better social protection that places children at the center. This report was also informed by children directly affected by situations of poverty, children active on coming up with solutions, and children in all regions who play different roles in ending violence against children.
