The UN Task Force comprises all UN agencies, mandates and special mechanisms, under the coordination of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children, playing an active role in the implementation of the recommendations of the UN Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty based on

- the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR),
- the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR),
- the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC),
- the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and
- the World Health Organization (WHO).
